Red Planet Farming is a casual, single-player strategy game for desktop
made in Unity (C#). The game received the NYU & Alfred P. Sloan
Foundation Games Production Grant in 2019 and released on Steam in May
2020. The game currently has over 60,000 downloads and an overwhelmingly
positive reccomendation rating.
Red Planet Farming was a part of the MAGFest Indie Video Game Showcase (MIVS)
in 2020. A demo of the game was also released on CoolMathGames in early 2020.
I was the sole designer and developer on Red Planet Farming. My team also
consisted of artist Sean Park and sound designer Sean Porio.
Notable Contributions
- All systems design and balancing
- All systems development. This included a player save data system, resource management systems, UI implementation, a hex map system, a procedural weather system, tutorials, gameplay features, and more.
- Integrated the Steamworks.NET SDK and Steam achievements into the project for the Steam launch.
